The professional stuff

I'm registered as an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with Dietitians Australia, and hold a Master of Dietetic Studies, Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition), and a Diploma of Languages (German) from the University of Queensland. I've done additional training in cultural safety, mental health, substance use, and weight-neutral care.

You can trust that I practise evidence-based nutrition therapy, tailoring scientifically rigorous research findings to meet the needs of each person who sees me. As a member of the registry of Australian Independent Dietitian-Nutritionists (AIDNs), I ensure I have not received money (including employment) or gifts from food, supplement, surgery, agricultural, or weight-loss industries.

The personal stuff

I know what it's like to struggle with eating and body image – I experienced an eating disorder for many years, and only came out of it thanks to learning about fat-positivity and weight-neutral nutrition. I also know what it's like to struggle with mental illness; as a mad and neurodiverse person, I'm proud to be open about this and to advocate on behalf of the people who see me who also experience mental distress.

I want you to know that when you come to see me, I see you as a fellow human being with human struggles. I won't give you a cut-and-paste meal plan, or reduce you to the number on the scale. I am here to hear you, to support you, and to advocate for you as best I can.

In my spare time, you can find me playing with my pet rats, fire-spinning, or tattooing (yep, I'm a licenced tattoo artist)!
